38/365 - Us, watching another glorious Hawaiian sunset...
37/365 - Turtle Sighting at Kahalu'u beach, a great spot for snorkeling. Lots and lots of colorful fish and coral!
36/365 - The Hula Girl
How can I come to Hawaii and not take a Hula picture? Actually I wasn't planning on it, but as I was out on my evening walk, I ended up at the Tuesday night Hula party at the hotel. I don't do well with moving objects, so it is a bit blurry, but thought it is a nice change from the usual nature scenes.
35/365 - A cloudy overcast day in the Island. Sunset was just a thin streak of glowing light in the horizon.
34/365 - Umauma Falls
Today we drove towards Hilo and spent the day exploring the lush waterfalls of the Hamakua coast. Lots of walking and hiking was involved, but totally worth it. The best sight of the day was this multi-tiered Umauma falls, the only waterfall in the island you have to pay to see. Again - totally worth it!
33/365 - Exploring the lava rocks
We spent the whole day driving around, exploring the majestic lava rock formations that seems to cover most of the Kona area. Ended the day at the Kikaua beach- a pristine white sandy beach with a shallow bay protected by the rock formations- perfect for non-swimmers like me to frolic in. A perfect birthday!
32/365 - This will be my view for the next couple of weeks. Lucky me! :) Aloha!
31/365 - Rain-soaked Market
Phew, 1 done - 11 more to go!!! I have a feeling that it is going to be much easier to keep up with the daily photo project in February :)
30/365 - The Foggy Needle
I was just debating yesterday if I'd rather have fog or rain. Looks like Mother Nature was in a generous mood today, we got both!
